On April 2nd, 2018, the Forum of Federations, in cooperation with the Tunisian Ministry of Women affairs, Family and Childhood, launched a three-day dialogue and exchange session on gender mainstreaming in government policies and plans.
The event brought together several members of the Conseil des Pairs pour l’Égalité et l’Équivalence des Chances entre la Femme et l’Homme (CPE) actors to exchange experiences and discuss gender promotion in the different institutions to which they belong.
The workshop was opened with welcoming remarks from Mrs Leila Haouaoui, Regional Director of the Project and Mrs Hayet Khaled, Representative of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Family and Childhood. The session was delivered by Mr Hamida Chaouch a gender expert who has actively involved the participants in the learning process.
The participants have shared the different obstacles they face in their corresponding institutions related to gender and started working on potential solutions based on best practices and shared experiences from experts present.
The workshop contributed to empowering women leaders to help them have a better performance within their roles as established leaders leading inclusive governance.
