This roundtable highlights the possibility of decolonizing the discussion around federalism. It seeks to question the Eurocentrism and Western epistemological foundations of federalism as an idea. The discussion will focus on the meaning of federalism and its implementation in non-Western countries, including examples of federalism discourses and institutional innovations from South Asia, Africa and Latin America.

The event moderator is:
Thea Bächler, Research Fellow at Institute of Federalism.
